The location of the keyfob can be found in the Keyfob Position Data. Along with the accessory feature being activated before starting the engine of a car. Keyfob Position Data tracks the location of the keyfob and determines if a car is allowed start.
Using Keyfob Position Data, a vehicle checks whether the key is in the ignition slot on the vehicle, or in the vicinity to enable it to start. Immobilisers and other safety features such as alarms are alerted if someone is trying to drive the car without the keyfob.
Fleet managers can be alerted about Keyfob Position Data when a vehicle is being stolen. If there is no keyfob in the vehicle, and someone is entering, the vehicle location can be sent to the authorities to help them locate the stolen vehicle.
